Hello to my wonderful blog followers out there! I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend and that you have a great week ahead! As I'm sure you noticed, I did not blog this weekend. Please know that it's not because I'm burned out or bored, but rather, I decided that if I'm off from the gym, I'm going to be off from blogging too. Y'all don't understand, I have a slight addiction to the gym and just overall fitness right now. I need to give myself a break...and my kids. Poor kids are probably tired of having conversations about working out, proper marco's, and nutritional crap with their mom. : ) However, Gavin does think he has the strongest mommy in the world, and Kelsye asks EVERYONE to touch my muscles. Hahaha...LOVE it.
So, week one of Jamie Eason's LiveFit Trainer is over. Overall, it was a great week with only one crappy day. My day without my coffee. Lesson learned! I did not take measurements or even weigh myself after last week. I have decided to do it every two weeks. Most of the folks in the bodybuilding.com's Elite Ambition Transformation Challenge that I'm entered in are taking pictures and measurements every two weeks. Heads up, I probably will not change much in measurements and weight in the next few weeks. Remember, the first month of the Trainer is solely to build muscle. There is not a single day of cardio allowed in the first four weeks. Maybe with my clean eating and the muscle building and recovery, I might lose a little here and there, but it'll probably be week seven that I'll start really shredding. Then starting week ten, I'll literally start melting the fat away with carb cycling mixed with circuit training. We'll get to all that when the time comes, but right now, it's all about building my muscles. Let's use that marketing tool of a photo to show you my slight progress:

See my little guns?! I can't even help but to smile at them!

Imagine what they'll look like in 11 weeks! Motivation right there, folks! Anyway, so in the gym today I worked chest and triceps. I'm not just a huge fan of chest days because I know that means I'll have to do push-ups. Now, I don't hate push-ups anymore now that I can do my full three sets of 12 without getting on my knees (sts). Except that today, during my narrow push-up sets, I could NOT finish without getting my knees. Oh well, there will be those days. Keep pushing! I did increase my weight during my dumbbell press! My triceps got worked over nicely, so overall today was a very productive day in the gym. Tomorrow I'm hitting my back (one of my favorites) and biceps (one of my least favorite, but my problem area). I WILL have a nice set of guns after this program!
In tomorrow's blog I'd like to hit on protein, and the importance (to me) of a high protein diet and even talk about protein powders. Y'all have a great rest of the day!!
Jaems
