Today is my last day in the gym for the week. However, I've been trying to figure out a way to get to the gym tomorrow, even though I'm suppose to take the next three days off. I haven't had three days off in a row in 14 weeks, and I don't want to start now! I'm thinking I might slip in there and do a quickie (Ha! STS**!).
Next subject. Tanning. So, I gave up tanning and I'm HATING it! I wore shorts to my workout today and my legs are so white...and freckled! They were so much cuter tan and freckled! The thing is, this transformation I'm going through is a transformation to an overall healthier me. Not just the bodybuilding and fat shredding, but clean eating and healthy skin. Not to mention, I have a beautiful 14 year old daughter, and she watches me. I don't want her following my bad habits...like tanning. I'm pretty sure I've given her my road rage, and I think that's enough. :-/ What are y'alls thoughts on tanning? Anyone have any encouraging words for me or to others that may be reading about not tanning?
Speaking of encouraging words. Bodybuilding.com sent me an email yesterday stating that I have a person who chose me as one of their "Most Inspirational BodySpace Members"! Wow! I've only been on bodybuilding.com for less than a week! Here is what the email said (I've deleted her name for obvious reasons):
fitinthegym,
This just made my day yesterday. Talk about having my ego stroked. So encouraging and reaffirming that by this blog, and by joining the bodybuilding.com's competition, that I'm doing what I'm suppose to be doing. I've been smiling ever since.
Last thing...food! I want to let you know that I fall from the healthy eating tree often. I try my best, but ever know and then I fall. I DO get back up! After about three days with nothing sweet to eat, I took a 1/4 measuring cup and filled it with Samoas girl scout cookie ice cream and ATE it! Devoured it! it's okay though. You see what I did. I put ice cream in a 1/4 measuring cup! Not a giant bowl! It tasted great and I feel like a got a quick fix and I'm satisfied. Next time you go to grab the ice cream, try this method instead of using a huge cereal bowl...AND only fill it up once! ; ) Another food topic. I found the best chicken sausages in the WORLD! I bought these from Walmart and I'll be buying more of them! I think Costco sells them too. They're so tasty, low in fat, low in carbs, and high in protein! I took some pictures of the wrapper and nutritional guide for y'all:
has added you to their list of Most Inspirational BodySpace Members! Each member can only mark a maximum of 10 members as inspirational, so this is a big deal!
The comment that added was:
"You are so enthusiastic in your support of all the members of the bodygroup. It's great to hear from somebody who liked the program so much they are doing it again. "

You've got to try them!! I just eat them without a bun with mustard. give them a shot and let me know what you think!
Well, that's it for today. I'll let you know if I decided to swing by the gym in tomorrow's blog! Y'all have a great night!
**STS means "so to speak". I'll use this if I happen to type something that kind of comes out...ummm...the wrong way? Or "so to speak" can be compared to "that's what she said". Make sense? My military folks will get it, but I want to clarify for the fortunate others who don't have to deal with living half their life as a fighter pilot. : )
