So, today I worked on my shoulders and my abs. It's great, because I can actually feel my abs coming in. The first time since I had my 14 year old, I can actually feel my abs become tight! I've always had a somewhat flat stomach, but not defined, strong, and tight. I think it's become even more defined in the last two weeks...thanks to clean eating. You'll see Sunday when I post an update with my measurements, pictures, and body fat %. With my abs, I worked on my shoulders and increased my weight in two exercises today. My all time favorite shoulder exercise is the Arnold Press:

Since I discussing proteins and carbohydrates with you guys, and after being asked by a STRONG is the New Skinny fan what my daily menu looks like, I put one together for you to read over. This is actaully my menu for tomorrow. It's already programed in my myfitnesspal.com page, so all I have to do is eat what's on there at that particular time. Honestly, it seems like I'm eating ALL the time, and sometimes, I'm forcing myself to eat. As you notice, I stay around the 1550 calorie mark for my "goal" weight. On the days that I workout my legs, I tag on another 300 calories throughout the day. What's key is to try and spread out your proteins, carbs, and fats throughout the day. I typically NEVER eat carbs after 6:00-7:00 at night. It's all protein. Also, this menu changes up, but I try and keep the marco's the same each meal. I'm very new at this, so my meal plan may not be perfect, but I'm learning as I go and as I do more research. So, take a look:

One of the hardest things for me to get a handle on is eating! I LOVE food. If I could eat all day, I totally would. I'm not super strict on myself, but I DO make better choices than before, like eating a few donut holes instead of 3-4 donuts (that was yesterday).

ReplyDeleteThe eating part is the difficult part for most people. It is for me for sure! Overall, I do a really good job, but I splurge every now and then. I use to eat dessert EVERYDAY, and now I try to eat it once week. We love food in out family too! So much, that the kids would request that we watch Food Network (when we had cable). Hahaha. Good luck on your changes!
